SLYTZ Series (Zirconium Oxide Yttrium-Stabilized) The specific weight >5.9 g/cm³ is the source of enormous grinding energy in the mill, resulting in reduced grinding times. The processing times are considerably lower than with standard grinding media. This material has an extremely low wear rate and reduces production costs.
Type SLYTZ beads are made of high purity Zirconia powder and is fully Yttrium stabilized to ensure extreme resistance to wear. They can be used in most high energy mills on the market today. A rotator turning speed >17 m/s is quite common. Equipment and operating conditions for the mill should be clarified with the mill manufacturer.
Applications: Grinding media applications for paint, coatings and dye industry, for grinding of minerals like titanium dioxide, calcium carbinates down to the finest particle sizes.Advantages
